Father/Son Night

Jay had the opportunity to take Caden to his first Diamondbacks game Friday night. Caden was so excited, he talked about it all week and couldn't wait to go. I was a bit nervous how the night would go, but both Jay and Caden had a blast. My only condition for the boys was that Caden had to come home with a jersey, hat, and foam finger! Well, Jay did good cause that's exactly what Caden came home with.

Enjoying his first ballpark hot dog. I'm told he didn't keep it in the bun for long (he doesn't like bread) but at least he tried.

He's so cute - I love how handsome he looks all grown up and sporting the foam finger! I'm so glad he was able to spend some time with his Daddy and do some male bonding. I think they both needed it.

Happy Morning

I was awakened this morning to hear giggling and squealing coming from Keegan's room. As I got closer to his room I could hear Caden talking to Keegan and telling him that everything is OK. He's so sweet. I grabbed the camera and snapped a picture before they realized I was in there. This is what I found....

Apparently Caden told me that Keegan woke up and was sad so he went in his room to comfort him and tell him it's OK. He is such a sweet big brother.

Here's my smiling baby in the morning.

I think the only reason Caden likes to help get Keegan up is because I let him jump in the crib. He absolutely loves it!

Here's my sweet boys. Caden just loves to give Keegan kisses and tell him he loves him. He is so sweet and caring - I just love these boys.

Alumni Night

My college (Grand Canyon University) had it's annual alumni game on Saturday. I was so excited to play. I haven't been able to play in any of the past games because of being pregnant. I can't believe it's been 6 years since I played college soccer. It doesn't seem like it's been that long. It was fun to meet the current players and get to know some of the younger alumni that played after us. I miss playing with and seeing my old teammates.

Here I am getting ready to go out on the field. Man it was such a great feeling playing again. I miss it so much.

Here are a couple of girls I played with, Mel and Garcia.

Here we are with little Wick. She just had a baby 2 weeks ago, so running was definitely not on the top of her list.

7 months already..

I feel like I just did a post about my baby being 6 months and now he's already 7 months.. How time flies.. I was a bit late in getting his 6 months pictures taken, they're more like 7 months pictures, but at least he got some. I don't want him to feel left out or anything..

I absolutely love this picture because it reminds me of me when I was little. With those big round eyes and chubby cheeks that you just want to pinch. I just love my chubby baby. Caden and Daddy have nick-named him Chunker Monker. It's so funny to see Caden calling him that and giggling.

My Keegan boy has grown up so much in the past month. I was getting a bit worried that he would never crawl, but of course there's no stopping him now. He's not quite as active as Caden was which is kind of a good thing for my sanity's sake. He loves to pull himself up and stand and then beg for mom to pick him up. He's still a mama's boy and can find me anywhere. He loves to play with Caden and puts up with the torture very well.

I wasn't prepared for Caden to have his picture taken so he looks a bit homely without his hair done, but oh well.

When Mommy and Daddy are sleeping...

My kids are morning people. They have always been. Caden is usually up and ready to go by 6 sometimes earlier and Keegan is always up by 5:30. It's not too big of a deal, but every now and then I just crave that extra hour of sleep. Saturday morning I was able to get Keegan to go back down after he got up at his normal 5:30. I can't tell you how excited I was to be able to jump back in bed. That was until Caden got up. He was playing with cereal and watching TV, so I decided it was safe to stay in bed. NOPE!!! My sweet boy found a permanent marker and decided to color himself into a monster! Yes, a monster.

Here he is showing off being a monster. I already started scrubbing his one arm when Jay reminded me that I should document it.

A closer look at the coloring..

He was so proud to put it on his lips.

After scolding him and scrubbing him clean I sent him to the naught spot. When he was done I was talking to him about what he did wrong and that's when he informed me that he colored the couch too.

Yes, our nice tan leather couches are now decorated with black permanent marker. I've been scrubbing for a while now and it's slightly faded, but definitely still there. Surprisingly, sunscreen has worked the best so I'm hoping it will continue working as I scrub to get it off.

Oh the joys of kids..

Big Boy Bath

I have finally felt comfortable enough to let Keegan sit up in the bath tub. He had so much fun and definitely enjoyed bath time more. I can't believe how big my boys are getting!!
