Family Night

For family night tonight we decided to make some silly masks. We had so much fun coloring them and being silly. The boys LOVED them!! Keegan even colored his a little. Caden was in heaven. I guess $3.99 really can buy you a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of our fun masks!!

We also made post cards to sent to people we love! Caden loved coloring them and was hilarious about what he wanted to write on the back! Gotta love 3 yr olds.

After we enjoyed some yummy brownies, the boys went off to play while I cleaned up. Suddenly Jay and I heard a scream from Keegan. I can't remember the last time he screamed like that - definite pain in his voice. We run into Caden's room and see Caden holding a light saver and Keegan's face looking like this.....

Poor kid! He took a bad beating from his brother! Thankfully it looks worse than it really is. He perked up after some cuddles with mom and some milk! Thank goodness.. These kids are going to give me a heart attack with all their craziness!! Definitely makes for some interesting days - but I LOVE EM!!!

Another Goodbye

We had another passing in Jay's family this week. His maternal grandfather passed away last Monday and we had his services this weekend. He was such a wonderful man and a great example to all. He was kind-hearted and generous and reminded me so much of my own dad. I know that he is better off in Heaven and free from all of his pains, but we miss him greatly! We love you Papa!!

Papa and Red Nana at Christmas.

One advantage to having to go to the grave site, was to take Caden and Keegan to see Jennifer's gravestone. He was so sweet and I'm so glad I got a picture of him. When we were getting ready to leave I told him to tell Jennifer goodbye and He said - "But Mom, I love her!" I just melted! He's such a sweet boy with a good heart!

Bittersweet Goodbye

We had the untimely death of Jay's paternal Grandmother this past week and attended her funeral yesterday. The funeral was beautiful and Jay's dad did a fantastic job sharing many happy memories with everyone. She was such an amazing and strong woman and I will be forever grateful for the memories I have. I'm grateful that my children were able to meet her, even if for a short time, and I know that she loved them so much. Caden was so sweet, he said that Bamma looked like an angel. Then he asked me when she was going to open her eyes or if he could make her laugh. Poor kid. He is such a sweet boy and was very excited to tell everyone that her spirit went to Heaven to be with Jesus.

We love you Bamma!! We will be forever grateful for all you've done and can't wait for the day when we will meet again!

Following in Mommy's footsteps.

With two little boys I pretty much have to vacuum the floor at least once a day. Thankfully Jay got me this wonderful floor vacuum that I love.. Well, wouldn't you know it, my kid loves it too. Every time I get it out to to use it, Keegan's right there by my side. I finally pulled out his toy vacuum and now this is what he does..

I can only hope that he gets my cleanliness and keeps it up as he gets older! Keep your fingers crossed!
