My Sweet 5 year old!!

I can't believe my sweet boy is 5 years old!! Where has the time gone! He's growing into such a little man!! Here's a few things about Caden:
- He adores his Daddy and wants to be just like him!!
-He has such good manners and LOVES to be a gentleman (holding doors are his fav!)
- He loves being the big brother and taking care of Keeg.
- He loves Primary and hearing stories from the Book of Mormon
- He LOVES books and being read to
- He is very sensitive (hopefully he will grow out of that a bit)
- He LOVES Lego's and building things (just like his Daddy)
- He can sit in his room for hours playing by himself!
- and He loves riding his bike!!
I love you sweet boy!! Happy Birthday!!!

Fall Colors

Jay was working in Prescott again so we decided to get away and see what Fall really looked like. There were leaves EVERYWHERE!!! It was FABULOUS!! I love fall and all the colors and the fabulous weather. However, Prescott fall was much colder than Phoenix fall weather. So we froze a bit in the mornings and evenings but the middle of day was PERFECT!!
Here's the boys in downtown Prescott, if you can see them.. The loved running up and down those stairs.. By a cool statute. They wanted wanted to climb on the horse and ride with the guy.. My sweet boys outside the Prescott Resort! What a cool view from that hotel!

The Gingerbread Village. We saw some pretty amazing gingerbread buildings..
The pretty colors!!!

And how could a little boy not have fun with leaves and sticks!! The perfect combo!

My sweet boys!! Not very often we get to see this many leaves!!!

More pretty colors!!

Beze and Brian Jackson

Jay's cousin Allisabeth (aka Beze) got married on Friday and Caden was the ring bearer. He was SO stinkin cute and had a blast. I felt bad for poor Keegan though cause he was definitely feeling left out.. Here's my sweet little man right before the ceremony!! My stud muffin ring bearer boy!! He did awesome and was so handsome in that suit!!
The flower girl's name was Jersie. She was so adorable and together these two were hilarious!! They had a blast and were the hit of the party..

This is just about as far as Jersie would walk. She then decided she'd rather sit with her mom and dad. Poor Caden didn't know what to do, but he made it to the front like a champ..

Mr. and Mrs. Brian Jackson!!

Just before being announced at the reception!! She was so excited to hold Caden's arm!!

Dancing together. Ok, it took a second for me to convince Caden to ask her, but that was it. I couldn't get these two off the dance floor. I took almost 100 pictures of just them dancing! Yes, I'm obsessed!!

I think this is just a glimpse of whats to come for me. My sweet boy being swept away by a young beautiful girl!! Hopefully not for a while!!

Getting their groove on!! They danced SO well. I have no idea where Caden gets his rhythm because neither Jay or I can dance.

Of course Caden had to dance with the beautiful Bride!! He loved it!!

We had a blast celebrating.. Congrats Brian and Beze.. Thanks for sharing your special day with us!!

Prescott and Bike Rides

Jay had the opportunity to work up in Prescott a few times over the last couple of months so the boys and I took advantage and went for day to check the place out. I've only been there to play soccer so the boys and I decided we needed a proper tour. Thanks to the Garmin, we were able to find all sorts of places to visit and play at. We went to this lake, Watson Lake. I was a bit disappointed that there weren't very many places to stand on the shore. So we headed down the dock and fed some ducks and jumped around. The boys LOVED it!!

We also couldn't pass up this fabulous park that was right around the corner from our hotel. They had some super fun climbing things and the weather was absolutely perfect!!

Once back in the valley, I decided Keegan was ready to ride his bike on the road. So we went for a family bike ride.. After working out a few quirks (like teaching Keegan how to use the breaks - minor detail right) we were off..
The boys had a blast!! I love fall weather. Reminds me how much fun we really can have outside without sweating our brains out!!

And aside from Keegan falling 5-6 times, we had a blast. And Keegan wants to go again, so his falls must not of been too bad!!

Good Bye Summer

Summer is finally at it's end and all I can say is BOOOOO!!! I LOVE summer!! Maybe it's because my Mom is off during the summer so we play at her house pretty much every day. But I think my most favorite part of summer is swimming! It seems like that's what we did every day. Thankfully, my boys LOVE the water as much as I do!! We did manage to find some time to visit with cousins this summer as well. Kyla came to visit for about a month. We had so much fun with her. My mom and I took the kids to the Phoenix Zoo one day. I gotta say, I'm impressed. I haven't been to the zoo since Caden was 7-8 months and it has definitely improved since then!! We also took a trip to Cali to visit Holly and the girls, well and Josh too I guess. What's a trip to Cali without hitting up the beach!! The kids had SO much fun at the beach!

To end the summer the boys and I went out to Sahuaro Ranch park to play and of course I had to snap some pics. I'm no photographer but I got some fun ones of my crazy boys!!

We are sad summer is over but grateful to move on towards cooler weather (hopefully) and lots of fall/winter fun!!

Happy Birthday Keegs.. better late than never, right??

My sweet Keegan baby turned 2 on the 12th... I'm a little late in posting, but better late than never.. All smiles the morning of his birthday! Then again, he's always smiles in the morning.
His Mickey Mouse Cake. I'm still very disappointed that Wilton decided to discontinue the Mickey Mouse pans and we resorted to this.. So not very nice.. And I wasn't about to spend $40 on eBay for one.. Sorry bud. At least he loved it and you can't go wrong with a cake from Costco.

Opening presents.. He was so cute!!

He was trying to show Daddy his movie and say cheese for the pic! Good job bud!

All smiles looking at the Mickey Cake.

Happy Birthday Bud!! Hope you enjoyed your day as much as we enjoyed celebrating with you!! I love ya!!

Regret it... Maybe... Maybe Not...

All Caden wanted for Christmas was a Transformer bunk-a-bed. Yes, that's what he calls it.. He would tell everyone that he wanted this so we couldn't resist getting it for the boys.. But since it's been up, we've had quite a time getting them to sleep. Nap time was a complete disaster! The first bed time, a little better, but not that great! The second night however went really well. That is until I went in the next morning to get them up.

This is where Keegan is suppose to be - on the bottom bunk! He is our little monkey and we don't need any more trips to the hospital with him. So we had a strict talk with both boys about how Keegan has to stay on the bottom bunk. Well, that obviously didn't work out very well.
Here are my sweet boys - sound asleep together on the top bunk! They look so sweet and precious while they are sleeping! There's just something about sleeping boys that melts my heart!!!
Now, ever since that one time on the top bunk, they have changed their ways and now they both sleep on the bottom bunk together. I guess I should enjoy the fact that they love each other and want to be together! We all know that won't last long - but I can hope!!

Merry Christmas

We must have had some good little boys in our house this year because they were spoiled rotten by Santa. Here's a picture of the tree just before the boys came out to check the loot.. Their faces looking at the tree and the pillows was priceless!! We had so much fun watching them open the presents and hearing the hilarious little comments after each. Jay was video tapping the whole thing and after each present Keegan opened, he would walk right up to Jay and show him what he got. It was so cute! Caden kept saying, "That's just what I always wanted" with everything. So adorable.. Here are the boys in front of my parents tree after we opened up presents.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed spending time with their families. I know we did!!
