Good Bye Summer

Summer is finally at it's end and all I can say is BOOOOO!!! I LOVE summer!! Maybe it's because my Mom is off during the summer so we play at her house pretty much every day. But I think my most favorite part of summer is swimming! It seems like that's what we did every day. Thankfully, my boys LOVE the water as much as I do!! We did manage to find some time to visit with cousins this summer as well. Kyla came to visit for about a month. We had so much fun with her. My mom and I took the kids to the Phoenix Zoo one day. I gotta say, I'm impressed. I haven't been to the zoo since Caden was 7-8 months and it has definitely improved since then!! We also took a trip to Cali to visit Holly and the girls, well and Josh too I guess. What's a trip to Cali without hitting up the beach!! The kids had SO much fun at the beach!

To end the summer the boys and I went out to Sahuaro Ranch park to play and of course I had to snap some pics. I'm no photographer but I got some fun ones of my crazy boys!!

We are sad summer is over but grateful to move on towards cooler weather (hopefully) and lots of fall/winter fun!!

Happy Birthday Keegs.. better late than never, right??

My sweet Keegan baby turned 2 on the 12th... I'm a little late in posting, but better late than never.. All smiles the morning of his birthday! Then again, he's always smiles in the morning.
His Mickey Mouse Cake. I'm still very disappointed that Wilton decided to discontinue the Mickey Mouse pans and we resorted to this.. So not very nice.. And I wasn't about to spend $40 on eBay for one.. Sorry bud. At least he loved it and you can't go wrong with a cake from Costco.

Opening presents.. He was so cute!!

He was trying to show Daddy his movie and say cheese for the pic! Good job bud!

All smiles looking at the Mickey Cake.

Happy Birthday Bud!! Hope you enjoyed your day as much as we enjoyed celebrating with you!! I love ya!!

Regret it... Maybe... Maybe Not...

All Caden wanted for Christmas was a Transformer bunk-a-bed. Yes, that's what he calls it.. He would tell everyone that he wanted this so we couldn't resist getting it for the boys.. But since it's been up, we've had quite a time getting them to sleep. Nap time was a complete disaster! The first bed time, a little better, but not that great! The second night however went really well. That is until I went in the next morning to get them up.

This is where Keegan is suppose to be - on the bottom bunk! He is our little monkey and we don't need any more trips to the hospital with him. So we had a strict talk with both boys about how Keegan has to stay on the bottom bunk. Well, that obviously didn't work out very well.
Here are my sweet boys - sound asleep together on the top bunk! They look so sweet and precious while they are sleeping! There's just something about sleeping boys that melts my heart!!!
Now, ever since that one time on the top bunk, they have changed their ways and now they both sleep on the bottom bunk together. I guess I should enjoy the fact that they love each other and want to be together! We all know that won't last long - but I can hope!!

Merry Christmas

We must have had some good little boys in our house this year because they were spoiled rotten by Santa. Here's a picture of the tree just before the boys came out to check the loot.. Their faces looking at the tree and the pillows was priceless!! We had so much fun watching them open the presents and hearing the hilarious little comments after each. Jay was video tapping the whole thing and after each present Keegan opened, he would walk right up to Jay and show him what he got. It was so cute! Caden kept saying, "That's just what I always wanted" with everything. So adorable.. Here are the boys in front of my parents tree after we opened up presents.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed spending time with their families. I know we did!!

Temple Lights

We finally found some time to take a family trip to Mesa to see the Christmas lights at the Temple. It was so fun to just go and walk around as a family. It wasn't too busy when we went which was nice! The boys had a blast checking everything out. They loved the "water fall lights" more than anything! Mommy and her boys. Of course with Keegan distracted and checking something else out! Oh well.
Daddy and his boys!! So handsome!! I love those cheese faces!!

Not the best picture of the two of them together, but getting them to stand still for two seconds takes a miracle! If you look closely, they are in front of the "waterfall lights."

Happy Birthday My Caden boy!!

Caden was SO excited for his birthday this year. Apparently turning 4 is kind of a big deal! All he kept talking about was getting a big Optimus Prime transformer! Thankfully he did get that - and tons of other things as well. The next morning when he woke up he told Jay and I that Santa didn't need to come because he already got all the toys he wanted! Sweet!! I had to remind him that there were still more things on his list so it was OK for Santa to come. How sad that I have to convince my kid to let Santa bring him toys!

His poor cake. He wanted a Bumble Bee cake, but they only had an Optimus Prime pan. So I had to get creative. I wasn't too impressed with how it turned out, but he loved it.. The whole time I was decorating it, he was sitting next to me telling me I was doing a great job! Thanks bud!!

He was so excited for us to sing to him. A big change from when he was younger. He would cry when we sung to him. Now he eats all that attention up!!
Thanks to all the family that came and helped celebrate his big day with us! It is much appreciated!! And Happy Birthday bud! Hope being 4 is all it's cracked up to be!! I love you!!

Happy Turkey Day

So I'm WAY late on posting pretty much anything. I've been a total slacker lately, so please excuse the tardiness. We had such a great Thanksgiving. Well, we actually had two Thanksgivings (one of the perks of having both families so close!) We had a fun lunch Thanksgiving with Jay's family. Then it was off to my parents for dinner. The boys loved it because their cousins came to visit from Cali, and they LOVE their cousins. My mom (being the teacher that she is) had some super fun Indian vests and hats for the kids to make. They loved it, to say the least.

I couldn't get all of them together, so first I got Keeg - pj's and all!! HA!!
Then the other kids posing so nicely!! So adorable!!

I just had to get a picture of the kids sitting together eating their Thanksgiving feast! They were hilarious! We definitely should have put that table outside though. There was more food on the ground than anything! But they had fun for sure!!
We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving spending lots of time with family and enjoying LOTS of yummy food.. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
